Fiestas Patrias Festival

Catholic Nacogdoches invites you to our annual Fiestas Patrias Festival at the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe on September 15, 2024! 

The festivities will start with a Holy Mass at 8am followed by a procession at 9:30am, featuring horseback riding and tamborazo (Mexican regional songs with drums and horns) at the intersection of Old Lufkin Rd and Loop 224.

There will be Mexican food, live music, folkloric dance groups, a dance competition, a volleyball tournament, and games for children. Join us for a day of Mexican culture, traditions, and family fun!

Live Music at Zion Hill: Roy Orbison performed by Colin Dexter, the Man of Many Voices

Colin Dexter, known as the man of many voices, captivates audiences with his versatile renditions of music from the 50s to the 70s. His main tributes celebrate legends like Roy Orbison, George Jones, and Hank Williams Sr., bringing their timeless classics to life with his powerful performances.

With nearly a decade of professional experience, Colin has enchanted listeners across various stages, including the renowned Fayette Opera House in Ohio. In Texas, he has delivered unforgettable shows in Gatesville, Sherman, Fort Worth, and beyond, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic and cherished performer.

Tickets will go on sale August 1st digitally on Eventbrite and in person at the CVB (200 E Main St) and Zion Hill Baptist Church Historic Site (324 N Lanana St). Tickets are $20.

The Market is located at the old “hitch lot” in historic downtown Nacogdoches, at 107 Pearl Street. We are open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, YEAR ROUND! We are a produce and artisan market; all produce is grown within a 90-mile radius of our market. Our artisan bakers have a variety of fresh breads, bagels, croissants and scrumptious fried pies.
